A customer payment instruction carrying payer, beneficiary, amount, currency, and routing information in a structured message.
Separates the customer payment instruction from the bank-to-bank cover instruction used through the correspondent chain. MT202 COV carries underlying customer details for the cover leg.
Payment tracking uses a Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference (UETR). Swift gpi adds visibility into payment status, routing, and charges; it is a service rather than a separate MT message type.
IPIP and IPID are not standard MT103 message variants in the referenced catalogues. A routing label alone does not establish a supported payment method or settlement capability.
REMIT supports extended remittance information. STP applies stricter formatting rules to support straight-through processing. Availability depends on the applicable standards release and service.
A request to execute one or more customer transfers, used in corporate payment initiation such as payroll and supplier payments.
Groups multiple customer credit transfers into a single message. The STP variant uses a restricted format intended for automated processing.
MT110 advises cheque details, MT111 requests a stop payment, and MT112 reports the status of a stop-payment request.
MT200 concerns an institution moving funds for its own account; MT201 groups such transfers. MT202 is a general financial institution transfer.
MT203 groups general institution transfers, MT204 is a financial markets direct-debit message, and MT205 is an institution transfer execution message.
Advises an account-servicing institution of expected incoming funds so it can prepare to identify the credit.

MT350 advises a loan or deposit interest payment. MT360 confirms a single-currency interest-rate derivative, rather than a single interest payment.

Cover a demand for payment, amendment, acknowledgement, and advice of reduction or release. Consult the applicable release before assigning these purposes to another message number such as MT762.

Common-category messages cover charges, requests for payment of charges, cancellation requests, queries, answers, and proprietary communication. These are not all free-format guarantee messages.
